Question


How can we combine our sales data from different sources such as proprietary, syndicated and internal databases into one reporting and analysis tool?

Challenge

 A client wanted to streamline and simplify their monthly sales reporting and analysis task. They were interested in having a point-and-click interface developed that presented analysis output graphically. The biggest challenge was to devise a means for combining data from five different internal and external sources, each with its own method and format for supplying data.

Solution


We used our SalesProfiler product, whose data gathering component was perfectly positioned to accommodate the data sources' different formats. We then customized charts to fit the clients needs, and deployed the tool's slide-show module in order to provide the recurring presentation of analysis information.

Outcome

The value we created for our client was two fold:
- The client was able to reduce the cycle time for data gathering and presentation preparation from 3 weeks to 2 days.
- The client was able to establish a presentation and analysis standard.Now the management is considering bi-weekly sales analysis meetings in order to be more responsive to changing business results.
