Hartwig Huemer is the founder and president of Decision Support, Inc. He founded DSi in 1992 when he saw a management and marketing personnel need for getting consistent and relevant information from data in a timely fashion - "the single truth".
Since founding DSi, Hartwig has also been part of two start-up companies in the arena of Price Optimization: DemandTec, Inc. (NASDAQ:DMAN) for retailers, and
SignalDemand, Inc. for manufacturers. At both companies he was responsible for designing and creating the initial proof-of-concept prototype application. These prototypes encompassed the UI, solution delivery and the entire data management and became the blue-print for the 2nd and 3rd generation enterprise software (i.e., general applications) both companies rolled out.
Prior to founding DSi, Hartwig worked for GTE (now Verizon) in merger and acquisitions analysis where he was responsible for designing tools and methods for tracking and evaluating the financial performance of potential and recent acquisitions. At GTE he also held positions in business development, internal auditing, and financial accounting.
Prior to moving to the United States Hartwig worked on research projects involving computer based training. Hartwig's professional experience is rounded off with 7 years of teaching business software application courses at the university level.
Hartwig received a Bachelor and Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Graz-Austria. He also earned a MS degree in Computer Science under a Fulbright Scholarship, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In his spare time Hartwig enjoys soccer and alpine skiing (his roots are still Austrian), as well as sailing and photography.

Erin joined Decision Support, Inc., in 1998 to head up the departments of marketing and client support. Prior to joining Decision Support, Erin was a product manager at The Kellogg Company in Battle Creek Michigan. Brands managed include Raisin Bran, All-Bran, Mueslix, and Fun Pack.
She started her career in product mangement at Oscar Mayer Foods Corporation in Madison, Wisconsin. While there, she helped manage their flagship hot dog brand, was responsible for developing and implementing Oscar Mayer's hispanic marketing program, and was part of the team that launched Lunchables with Dessert.
Erin received her Masters in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. She interned with S.C. Johnson. She earned a BS in Food Chemistry and had research internships with General Foods, Pillsbury, and Chris Hansen's Laboratrory.
